I will try not to do this too often, because um. I really need to remember the words “budget” and “save your damn money for a trip somewhere!” But with the holidays coming up and the temptation of a free tote bag with a particular purchase at The Strand, how could I not pass up getting myself stuff along with my Secret Santa books for The Broke and the Bookish?
Stacking the Shelves
We are all book lovers and the need to share our enthusiasm is sometimes overwhelming. Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
If you’re anything like me, you are probably hoarding books and even though you are excited about your latest book arrival, it might be a while before you get to review it and Stacking The Shelves is a good way to express your undying enthusiasm for those titles!

My recent acquisitions:
Scarlet by Marissa Meyer (I have Cinder already, but haven’t read it yet and just got the next installation for completion’s sake–so far).
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo (Admittedly, it’s the cover that got me to buy this, but it’s been on my TBR for a while now).
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas (Read it a while back and looooved it).
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas (I am so hoping Chaol gets more badass).
Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas (Figured I’d get the rest of the trilogy…and the covers are so pretty *_*).
I also got two other books–a YA paranormal and a new adult romance–for my Secret Santa. I’m debating on getting a third, but if I am, it’d probably be a Kindle purchase for her.
And yeah. I’m considering this current purchase as an early Christmas present to me. Now if only I can start trying to go through my three huge stacks of unread purchases…
It irks me a bit that you bought a different cover thingy between paperback and hardcover in the same series >_>

It irks me too. It’s probably why I didn’t buy more books, cuz they weren’t all consistent XD

I bought another copy of Terrier for that exact reason — the ‘back’ cover, the words on it, were different. It’s a valid reason! Stacks are good. Where you going to shelve them? 😀
