Slowly making my way through a couple of the ARCs I never actually read on time. I’M WORKING ON IT, OKAY?!
My copy of Monster, She Wrote was definitely littered with formatting and editing issues, and I really wanted to read the afterword and introduction to the collection that were added into the final, published edition. Overall, however, this collection shined mostly due to the wide variety of horror and spec-fic female authors there were throughout history. Horror isn’t always my cup of tea, but it’s great seeing this book being put out there. It’s also the reason I’ve added to my TBR.
Ages back, I’d read World War Z, which was a fictional history of how the zombie outbreak began and how people dealt with it. On first look of the book cover and the premise, it looks like A People’s History of the Vampire Uprising would be similarly told. In premise alone, this is definitely something I would read. But the actual reading wasn’t as lovely.
