Mini Reviews: Monstress Vol. 5, Lady Justice

So I participated in the #24in48 Readathon this month, and that resulted in quite a number of books read for the month of February. These graphic novels were just some of the books I ended up finishing, and I love being ahead in my TBR pile for the year. So far, so good…we’ll see how long this streak lasts.

That being said, I may as well unload my reviews before I forget completely that I had books I wanted to throw a review for on this blog. Here goes!

I’ve been following Monstress every year, as I love the story and the artwork with equal fervor. It’s just so good, and Marjorie Liu and Sana Takeda are absolute goddesses for continuing this series on.

Lady Justice was mostly a curious buy, though I actually hadn’t realized this wasn’t penned by Neil Gaiman, and instead, it’s kind of like how the series Lucifer was written–Gaiman created the character, but other writers wrote the stories. That said, I was hoping to like it more than I did, but alas.

Have you read either of these books? What did you think?
