There was a lot of things I could have said about one book, and almost nothing I could say about another. So, with a merry compromise, I’ve said just about the right amount of things about both!
I honestly would have DNFed This Woven Kingdom if I wasn’t buddy reading it with two other people. There was some occasional great worldbuilding here and there, and from time to time I was intrigued by the story and the world. But eh, I wasn’t feeling it.
I’ve been on and off reading Sin and Syntax ever since it was introduced to me in grad school. Great reference, and if I’d known about it, I probably would have used it as a source for my thesis paper!
