Mini Reviews: Wayward Vol. 3 and 4

I've been meaning to post a few reviews but I kept forgetting to write anything down, which is weird, because I write EVERYTHING down. Anyway, finally got around to posting up some Wayward reviews! I like this series so far. There's been a bit of a divide, with some people falling off the interest wagon by Volume [...]

Lost in Japan || Wayward Review

Lost in Japan || Wayward Review

Initial Thoughts: Picked this up because I saw the artwork and was intrigued by the fact that this takes place in Japan (because of course I'm biased). A little shaky, confusing, and too many character intros that are too short, but I do like them Japanese demons and the art is phenomenal! Will pick up [...]

Mini Reviews: Moon Called, Vols. 1 and 2

January 14, 2020January 12, 2020by Mari3 Comments on Mini Reviews: Moon Called, Vols. 1 and 2

Bingeing on graphic novels is the best! I've had these two graphic novel depictions for ages, and occasionally I flip through them to look at the pictures. I haven't actually read them cover to cover until recently. Now, anything Mercy Thompson-related now gets a lot of my bias, because I'm a fan of the actual [...]

Mini Reviews: American Gods, Vol. 1 and 2

I've lapsed in watching the show after season 1, but reading the graphic novel really did make me want to get back on the wagon! I loved this book, so seeing it in several different mediums is always fun. American Gods illustrates the idea that the gods of the old world followed their worshippers when they [...]

Mini Reviews: Paper Girls, Vol. 4 and 5

I may have only the final volume of Paper Girls to read...I think. I put the "I think" on there because I'm dubious as to how this is all going to pan out in one last volume. See, this is the type of series I'd honestly read back to back, because if I leave the reading for [...]

Mari-with-an-I prefers her fantasies drenched in oil and fried up in faerie, but when that’s not the case, she’ll read it anyway. She likes writing what she reads, and likes baking while she writes. She’s written a few things for anthologies, including an anthology that got translated into Czech (I know, right?! Eeeeee!), and if you haven’t read them yet, she urges you to do so! Who knows, there might be a few cookies waiting for you at the end of the read.

…Or not. (Blast her pet steampoctopus for eating them all!)
