A Weaving In Smoke || Smoke Bitten Review

Initial Thoughts: I am well aware that my bias towards this series is the main reason I continue to five-star any Mercy Thompson book, but many other things worked in this book's favor. One: Two fairy tales were invoked which made me really happy. Two: Lots of sex. I'm not even joking. SMOKE BITTEN by [...]

Mini Reviews: Moon Called, Vols. 1 and 2

Bingeing on graphic novels is the best! I've had these two graphic novel depictions for ages, and occasionally I flip through them to look at the pictures. I haven't actually read them cover to cover until recently. Now, anything Mercy Thompson-related now gets a lot of my bias, because I'm a fan of the actual [...]

Death in the Forecast || Storm Cursed Review

Mini Reviews: The Steel Prince, Burn Bright

Yeah, my June readings amounted to...four books. Oops?! That being said, I spent quite a bit of the last half of the month traveling, so that might explain much. Also, audiobook reading slowed because I didn't often have access to Libby. But in any case! Before I did go on my Moroccan trip, I polished [...]

Wow. Okay, the title sounds kinda euphemistic, but ya know what, I'm keeping it because nobody does werewolves quite like Patricia Briggs. But I'm biased. This kind of doubles as a little throwback to one of the only series I'm still up-to-date with, and that's saying a lot, considering I'm really bad at series, and [...]

Mari-with-an-I prefers her fantasies drenched in oil and fried up in faerie, but when that’s not the case, she’ll read it anyway. She likes writing what she reads, and likes baking while she writes. She’s written a few things for anthologies, including an anthology that got translated into Czech (I know, right?! Eeeeee!), and if you haven’t read them yet, she urges you to do so! Who knows, there might be a few cookies waiting for you at the end of the read.

…Or not. (Blast her pet steampoctopus for eating them all!)

Was this worth the wait?! DAMN RIGHT IT WAS. ACOTAR playing cards by @elithienart and everything from the packaging to the artwork and the cards themselves are 👩‍🍳 💋 💋 💋. Absolutely gorgeous. #acotar #playingcards #acotarfanart #elithienart
I CANNOT get over how gorgeous this @fairyloot edition is of Spice Road by Maiya Ibrahim! They've definitely knocked it out of the ballpark this month, for both the adult and YA boxes 🥰 #spiceroad #maiyaibrahim #fairyloot #yabox #special edition books #bookstagram
