To Ravka With Love || Rule of Wolves Review

Initial Thoughts: I don't think I've squeed so much over the last half of a book since Crooked Kingdom, but honestly, despite my worries about the cohesion of the story, this one delivered. It could still have done without so much convoluted story arcs and character POVs, and I still stand by the Nina storyline [...]

Welcome Back to Ravka || King of Scars Review

Initial Thoughts UH. WHAT WAS THAT ENDING?! This was a great welcome back to Ravka and to Nikolai, who was pretty much the major reason I rated the original trilogy so high by the end. I also loved that this was a Zoya book, because I never not loved Zoya from the very beginning. Nikolai [...]

A Light at the End || Ruin and Rising Review

Initial Thoughts:  Well hot damn. From my thoughts about the last book, I honestly didn't think I'd be won over so well and truly with the love story that became super pervasive in all three books. I mean. I GET that it had to happen, because where would the poetry be that tied all three [...]

Mari

Mari-with-an-I prefers her fantasies drenched in oil and fried up in faerie, but when that’s not the case, she’ll read it anyway. She likes writing what she reads, and likes baking while she writes. She’s written a few things for anthologies, including an anthology that got translated into Czech (I know, right?! Eeeeee!), and if you haven’t read them yet, she urges you to do so! Who knows, there might be a few cookies waiting for you at the end of the read.

…Or not. (Blast her pet steampoctopus for eating them all!)

I have so much research to do this weekend but FIRST, let me soak in the fact I'm mostly recovered from the 'vid and it's now summer break and Fire Emblem Three Hopes just came out so we all know what I'm doing when I'm not at the waterfront 😂
Another year done! Until the next!
