Mini Reviews: Ignite Me, These Vicious Masks

Catching up to my “to review” list is almost as bad as trying to catch up to my TBR list. Okay, maybe not AS BAD, but it’s gotten to the point where I have to do minis instead of full-on reviews (which I much prefer, because then I can rant a little longer).

Then again, I probably can rant however I want, considering.

I finished Ignite Me before school finished up its term in June, and my students certainly awaited my reaction to it, since they were such avid readers of the series. They didn’t get quite my full reaction (that would be WEIRD), but they certainly knew that of the series, Ignite Me came out to be my favorite of the books I’ve read of the series so far.

I really wanted to like These Vicious Masks, because what isn’t there to like about a premise of superheroes during Victorian London? And at the start, it was going really well! But I don’t know, this didn’t hit it off for me as much as I’d like.

Have you read either of these books? What did you think?
